(Devotional)
"Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His mighty hand." Psalm 20:6.
King David received God's anointing by Samuel as God's chosen leader. Jesus of Nazareth was anointed as the Fathers' deliverer of His people from their sins, thus Christ means Anointed One. Christians (little Christs) have received God's anointing causing them to be born again to newness of life. As God saved the king in time and for eternity so too He will do likewise to His children today.
