There are endless enterprises competing for your allegiance during your brief time on earth; only one has eternal consequences. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith" (2 Tim. 4:7). Drafted into the LORD's army your calling is praiseworthy, its end righteous. Daily engaged in spiritual warfare through the ministry of the word you have trained well and grown in endurance, completing your training course of sanctification set by God. By grace, your life has reflected admirable fidelity in preserving the faith once for all delivered to the saints, unwavering in the defense of sound doctrine through which souls are ransomed. Now, just over the horizon, is the finish line of your course. Oh what joy and satisfaction is in store for you as your finish line approaches, knowing that in all things the Lord, your righteous judge, has faithfully completed in you all that He promised, enabling you to stand in season and out of season for His glory. Oh death where is your victory? Oh sin where is your sting? Blessed is the death of the saints of the LORD and beautiful is their life testimony.
